It is our goal to be a place of spiritual discipleship, inspired worship, and Christian service: “A family of Faith, Hope and Love.” If you’re looking for a place to deepen your faith, worship the Savior and belong to a caring family of believers, Southside is the place for you.

Come join us Easter Sunday, April 5th at 6 am in Port Neches Park for a community-wide Easter Celebration.  We also welcome you attend Sunday Morning Worship Service in our sanctuary at 10:30 am.  We would love to have you share in our joy. HE IS RISEN, INDEED!

We know by experience, that Spring is a time of renewal.  If by chance you don't know that, just look around you.  God created this world with changing seasons, and Spring is the season for new growth.  Sometimes, we long for change, or even renewal, but we ourselves are unable to trim off the old parts that died in the Winter.  When the dead parts aren't cut away, then the new life painfully struggles to burst forth.  For some, it is just too difficult to let go of the sticks and stony soil of winter, and we need the help of someone else to accept the climate changes and the new season it brings.

April is almost here, and it is Counseling Awareness Month.  I would encourage you to seek counsel if you find yourself unable to let go of seasons past.

There are many types of counseling. It depends on the issue as to what type of counselor you need.  Counseling can be done alone, with a partner, or group depending on the issue. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of counseling. (It is only broken to protect a life.)  Counselors do not  prescribe medications. Their services are covered by insurance in most states. Counselors focus on a person, not a diagnosis.  Christian counselors are devoted, committed, spirit-guided servants of Christ. They usually have fees, but will likely do all they can to make it affordable, because they have a real concern for those who seek their help in moving toward wholeness, interpersonal competence, mental stability, and spiritual maturity. Christ is the Wonderful Counselor, and He instructs us through His Word that success is often found by seeking wise counsel.

Prov. 13:10, 15:22
